Thank you for visiting The Holly Cottage Chandler site.  Chandler is the old name for a candle-maker and that’s exactly what I do….make highly scented soy candles and wax melts to enhance the home.

The chandlery is based at Holly Cottage in rural Lancashire, where I live with several Highland ponies, sheep, dogs, chickens, a husband and a cat.

I started chandlery in order to produce candles for my own home with a decent scent throw at a fair price. I found that so many of the affordable candles had poor throws and that my money was literally going up in smoke. But I also found that candles that I liked were incredibly expensive. There had to be a better way. As with many small businesses, one thing led to another and I find myself in the lucky position that people like what I make.

But I am only one person, so although I do my best to keep my stock shelves full, please be aware that all my candles and melts are handmade on a very small scale and it’s a time-consuming task. If I don’t have what you want in stock I will make it for you as quickly as I can and dispatch it as soon as its cured.
